I’m in the same boat. I used to be an amateur front and back end web developer. Almost made a text based RPG in middle school. The problem with Fediverse and Linux is that it’s not “normal people” friendly. No one understands how this works because it’s not accessible and the people that run and make these platforms can’t communicate properly to the layman. It’s the same reason why engineers aren’t salespeople.
