I heard reporting earlier (no links handy, sorry) that the US is requiring Iran to stop enriching uranium at all in order to proceed with any sort of negotiations. Not that we are requiring them to simply not enrich any further beyond the point where they can use nuclear energy, but that they cannot do any enrichment whatsoever, “not even one percent.” That’s gonna be a definite non-starter and set the stage for attacking Iran because “they didn’t cooperate.”
Food we’ve already bought and paid for - our tax dollars at work, literally - intentionally being left to rot. I hate all of this so much. They continue actively and aggressively hurting vulnerable people while putting money into the pockets of those with astronomical treasure piles already. Such efficiency. Very awesomeness.

Samsung TVs have a Plex app, but not a Jellyfin one. Lots of people have Samsung TVs. I mean lots. Other modern TVs are likely the same, like Onn (at least the Roku TVs) last time I checked, and again they are all over. The ease-of-use factor really is a huge win for Plex.
Edit: Yes, Samsung Tizen models can try and sideload an app, but that’s not something the vast majority of people are ever going to even think about, let alone figure out how to accomplish.

Doesn’t that leave him still with something like $2 billion? I’m not knocking the philanthropy, but also, his safety net is going to remain about $2 billion dollars larger than mine most every other human being on this entire planet. And it will continue to accrue value at a higher rate than inflation as long as the good ol’ American engine keeps on chugging along as normal.
From his vantage point, this sacrifice will likely impact neither his daily lifestyle nor his long-term comfort one iota.
It’s a great thing he’s doing, and I want to be clear about that. He’s giving a boatload of money to charity. And I also don’t know what else he might be doing with the remainder. I might be being an asshole. I haven’t even read the article. I just saw that fuckin guy and the shining headline and had a strong reaction.

I just got a Lenovo T14 Gen 1 with a Ryzen 7 4750U (I think that’s around 11th gen on Intel?), 16GB soldered RAM as well as an open slot to add more, 14" screen (on the larger side of your wishlist, I know), and it was $300US on eBay. It’s been fine with Linux Mint running Cinnamon as my daily driver right now, and also fine with other related OSs like vanilla Debian and Ubuntu. Have not tried with Arch, btw, but these T-series machines have a pretty good reputation as far as I know in terms of Linux ease-of-use.
